I can only say good things about our experience with the Paley Institute. When Haley was six weeks old, the Shriners wanted to amputate her leg. She was born with proximal focal femoral deficiency (PFFD), also known as congenital femoral deficiency (CFD). I found Dr. Paley and he looked at her and said with no hesitation he could fix her leg.

We started a long journey of limb lengthening and other corrective surgeries and a lot of physical therapy. I will say it wasn’t always easy on Haley or our family. Haley didn’t miss out on her childhood as most people like to think with this process. She rod a bike, she played sports, she swam and did everything every other child did. She is now 16 and all finished lengthening. She has two even legs and they are the most beautiful long legs that I have seen on any teenage girl. Going through all this has made her a strong (inside and out) beautiful young lady! There is nothing that stops her. She prevails at everything she does. This experience has made her see that she can get through anything.

Thank you Dr. Paley for saving her leg! We will be forever grateful. You and your staff are awesome at what you do! We also met a lot of great friends from all over the world.

We were following
