Katherine Miller - Paley Institute

Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Katherine Miller, a board certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon, joined the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in September 2022 after she completed a one-year fellowship in pediatric limb lengthening and reconstruction at the Paley institute and a one-year fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and foot deformity at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Prior to that, Dr. Miller did her residency in orthopedic surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital and her medical school at University of Rochester.

Throughout her medical career she has volunteered her time in low resource areas at home and abroad. She studied Latino health and culture in medical school and worked in the free migrant clinics in upstate New York. Dr. Miller has treated children with late presenting clubfoot and hip dysplasia in Mexico and Guatemala. During the height of the pandemic, she spent 3 months leading a team of local orthopedic surgery residents at a trauma hospital in rural Kenya. Dr. Miller is working as part of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Team, treating children and adults with limb deformities, deficiencies, and discrepancies.
