Families travel to West Palm Beach from around the world to find answers—and today, Dr. Dror Paley and our clinical team are honored to welcome 19-year-old Katie Byrne from Cork, Ireland.

 

After a 15-year battle with hip dysplasia, Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) has officially approved full funding for Katie to undergo specialized reconstructive surgery at the Paley Institute.

 

Dr. Paley will perform a two-stage surgical plan—a labral repair followed by pelvic and femoral osteotomies—to realign her hip joint, relieve chronic pain, and restore mobility. Combined with intensive physical therapy at our West Palm Beach campus, this care offers Katie a path toward a pain-free future.

 

We look forward to welcoming Katie and her mother, Antoinette, to Florida and guiding her through every step of her transformation.
